If you already have an R_video library and want to replace one hard drive with another because your original hard drive is too small, here's how to do it.
Start by transferring all your folders and files from your original hard drive to the new hard drive. Remember to preserve the entire original structure for the process to work. For example, if you have FILMS, SERIES, DOCUMENTARIES, and CONCERTS folders at the root of your hard drive, you must also have these folders at the root of the new hard drive.
Once this is done, insert the new hard drive into your drive in place of the original hard drive (or connect it via USB if the first HDD was connected via USB). If your new hard drive is networked, this is no problem. You'll just need to edit the paths to the network drive accordingly.
Then, turn on your player and launch R_video by clicking on the Video icon.
In R_video, press the MENU button on the remote control and go to the Collection column > Folder Management.
In Folder Management, click the Edit button with the pencil next to the first folder.
Indicate what the folder you want to add contains. This can be movies (including concerts and documentaries), series (including documentary series), home movies, or trailers.
Then, browse the folders and select the folder identical to the one on the original hard drive that you copied to your new hard drive. For example, if the original folder was the MOVIES folder, choose the MOVIES folder on the new hard drive.
Proceed in the same way for all folders on the new hard drive. Then, exit the folder management window using the BACK button on your remote control (ESC on a computer).
R_video will begin modifying the paths of all files. This may take a while depending on the number of files.
Once the operation is complete, you will find your R_video video library identical to what you had previously, with your groups, your personalized posters and wallpapers, your personal categories, your banners, your film soundtracks, etc.
