Remove black screen when starting movie playback

Modified on Mon, 24 Feb at 5:12 AM

It may happen that there is a more or less long black screen when starting the playback of videos on R_volution multimedia players. This black screen depends partly on the synchronization delay of your amplifier and/or your TV. On some projectors like those of the JVC brand, the synchronization delay can be very long (about 15 sec.). On televisions, it is generally much faster. There are two ways to speed up this display:

1. You can set the display of the player interface by manually choosing a resolution clocked at 23.976Hz instead of 59.94Hz (default in automatic). You will no longer have the black screen when launching the films but the display of animated backgrounds and the interface could be a bit jerky.

2. You can disable Auto Framerate in the player's video settings.
