How to access to your Computer from your R_volution Player

If your computer doesn't appear on the network list, it may be a network configuration issue.

You can check the following :
  • Devices have to be located on the same local network.
  • Check Windows network options.
    Important settings to check should be in section "network and sharing center", or "Windows homegroup" or other similar designations.
  • Be sure that there is no third party app which may interfere between the computer and the local network.
    A too restrictive program could prevent the device to be detected by others on the network.
  • Check if the R_volution player and the computer are on the same subnet. (check the IP adress of each one).
    They are usually named like this : 192.168.X.Y (for example : 192.168.0.15 or 192.168.1.20)
    If the penultimate number (0 in case of 192.168.0.15) is not identical, the two devices are not on the same subnet.In this case, you have to reorganize your local network or assign static IP addresses with your router (using MAC address).
  • Switch off all your devices from your network, then restart them one by one. First should be your internet box or router.
  • Try connecting your computer and player to your router without using a network switch. If it works, replace the network switch.
