If you get a black screen or no video on your TV connected to the R_volution Player, this could be caused by several situations:
1. Please make sure your HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI output and not the HDMI input of the R_volution player.
2. The HDMI cable is defective or does not provide sufficient bandwidth for the R_volution's boosted video streams. In this case, try replacing the HDMI cable or try the HDMI cable provided in the accessory box with the R_volution media player (may not be included depending on territories). If your cable length exceeds 3m, you will need a high-quality broadband cable rated at 18Gbps or higher.
Note: Some very expensive high quality cables are not compatible with R_volution Player UHD 4:4:4 video signal.
This issue may occur on long lengths. Do the following test : Connect your R_volution Player directly to your TV or projector via the HDMI cable that came with the player. If you get video display, you may need to replace your own HDMI cable. Above 8 m (314"), we recommend the use of AOC fiber optic cable. (Supra, Inakustik)
Please note that many HDMI optical fibers do not work properly.
3. Maybe your AV receiver does not support video signal from R_volution or HDMI 2.0. Do the following test : connect your R_volution Player directly to your TV bypassing your AV receiver.
4. The TV does not support the resolution sent by the R_volution. In this case, restart the R_volution player and change the video settings.
5. Your TV, monitor or projector is not equipped with an HDMI port and you are using HDMI > DVI or your screen is not HDCP 1.1 compatible. Unfortunately, the R_volution Player requires a TV, monitor or projector that supports at least HDCP 1.1 to operate. To overcome this problem, you can use a HDMI switch or splitter. Many video splitters or switches inhibit HDCP and can sometimes let the video signal pass. But this is not a 100% reliable solution. The other solution is to use the analog video output (limited to SD resolution).
6. Maybe your TV does not support the video signal of the R_volution player.
The R_volution requirements for 1080p output are:
- 1080p compatibility.
- Y'CbCr 4:4:4 compatibility.
- 12-bit / primary color compatibility (Deep Colour / Deep Color).
- xvYCC (or x.v.Colour / x.v.Color).
To be sure if your TV is compatible or not, please try connecting your R_volution to another TV. If your TV is not compatible with 1080p / xvYCC / Y'CbCr 4:4:4 / 12-Bit, please change the video settings to Y'CbCr 4:2:2 / 8-Bit.
If your TV or projector is 4K compatible but not HDMI 2.0 compatible, you can use an HD Fury box:

7. You can also turn on your devices in the following order:
1. AV receiver (if you have one).
2. R_volution player.
3. TV.
